ABOUT DIP CERAMICS
Dip Ceramics is a Sydney based ceramics studio, creating functional objects, sculptural pieces and small batch collections.
The studio is interested in the process of making — repetition, construction, experimentation and the unexpected possibilities of clay. Pieces are often built from individual elements and assembled into larger forms, with a focus on texture, shape and the relationship between objects and the people who use them.
Alongside the studio’s collections, Dip Ceramics offers ceramics workshops, private classes, commissions and wholesale.
Dip also sits alongside the exhibiting practice of ceramic artist Caitlyn Jade King, whose sculptural work explores similar ideas through more experimental forms. Her chainmail clay works are part of this separate practice and are exhibited under her own name.
Everything is made by hand in Sydney, with an emphasis on considered design, experimentation and making objects that are built around ritual, and meant to be lived with.
